How do we create this culinary experience? Our patent-pending enzyme technology allows mushrooms to be enriched with proteins, creating a mushroom-protein matrix. This then forms the basis for a range of innovative, natural, and delicious foods.
Impact
Mushrooms are among the most sustainable sources of protein in the world: they require 80 times less land, produce 30 times less COâ‚‚, and consume over 40 times less water than beef. At the same time, they are the only non-animal, natural source of vitamin D and contain bioactive polysaccharides, which research has linked to positive effects on the immune system, metabolism, liver function, nerve cell growth, and other health-related parameters.
With around 1.8 million deaths worldwide each year linked to excessive meat consumption, innovative mushroom-based products offer a genuine alternative.
